The country of an exit IP decides which storefront, search page, and media catalog a site shows you. Filter the catalog by location, then open a country page when you need local notes.
Start with the audience, not the nearest datacenter. If a site changes prices, search results, or catalog by region, you need an IP in that region. A neighboring country will not stand in. US proxies, UK proxies, and Germany proxies are the usual first stops for English-language and EU checks.
Use an infrastructure exit only when the destination does not care where you sit. Then you pick a country for routing quality and for the mix of address types on offer. A fast European or North American node is a tool for throughput. It is not a substitute for a local audience IP.
Type still matters inside a country. A US datacenter IP and a US residential IP are not interchangeable on a login wall. Filter by location first, then by type, so you do not buy the right country with the wrong origin.
